An IT Engineer is a professional responsible for providing and maintaining hardware and software infrastructure, help desk technical support, and security services. They work with individuals, organizations, and businesses to create, install, and troubleshoot computer systems and networks. The IT Engineer also contributes to the development of security systems and backup and recovery plans to safeguard computer networks and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems and networks.
- Install software, set up local networks, and configure hardware.
- Identify and resolve technical problems.
- Research and evaluate new technologies.
- Provide help desk technical support.
- Develop security systems to safeguard computer networks and systems.
- Create backup and recovery plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting.
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, technical aptitude, communication, and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of data privacy requirements and network security.
