Custom Field
Add the fields your business needs to forms that do not have them.
Custom Field extends the standard forms in GetBizApps with fields of your own, without touching code. You pick the input type, the module the field belongs to and where it sits in the form, decide whether it is required, and reorder fields into the sequence that makes sense to the people filling them in. A field can be switched off later without losing the data already saved against it.
Inside Custom Field
What you get when you switch it on.
Nine input types
Text, email, number, date, text area, attachment, dropdown, checkbox and radio inputs cover most of what a form has to capture, from a reference number to a signed document.
Module targeting
Assign a field to the area it belongs to — General, Account, HRM, CRM, Product Service or Project — so it appears on the forms that need it and nowhere else.
Field placement
Choose where a custom field sits within the form, so added questions read as part of the layout instead of being appended to the bottom.
Required and optional fields
Mark a field as required where the data is not negotiable, and optional where it is not, so records are complete without slowing every entry down.
Field ordering
Reorder fields into your preferred display sequence, which matters when a form is filled in dozens of times a day and the order determines how fast that goes.
Enable and disable without data loss
Turn a field off when it is no longer collected. The data already saved against it stays intact, so retiring a question does not mean losing its history.
No-code configuration
Fields are defined from a settings screen — name, module, type, placement — rather than by changing the application, so the standard behaviour is left untouched.

Where it earns its place
What teams switch Custom Field on for.
01
Capturing industry-specific data
The reference, certificate or code your sector runs on is added to the standard form, rather than being kept in a spreadsheet beside the system.
02
Consistent records across modules
The same field settings apply wherever they are used, so a value captured in HRM, CRM or Project looks and behaves the same in each.
03
Retiring a field safely
A field that is no longer needed is disabled rather than deleted, so it stops appearing on the form while its historic data stays readable.

How add-ons work
Custom Field is not a separate app.
It runs inside GetBizApps Suite, on the same data, behind the same login.
01
Switch it on
Enable the add-on from your workspace. It appears alongside everything else already running — no separate install, no second login.
02
It shares your data
The add-on reads and writes the same customers, staff and records as the rest of the Suite, so nothing has to be re-keyed or synced.
03
Your roles still apply
Existing permissions carry across. Decide which teams see the add-on, and what they are allowed to do inside it.
04
Your price adjusts
It joins your subscription as one more enabled add-on, and comes off again if you turn it back off.

Why teams run on GetBizApps Suite.
These are customers talking about the Suite as a whole rather than the Custom Field add-on specifically — every add-on runs on the same platform they are describing.
The proposal-to-invoice workflow has been especially useful for our agency. Once a deal is approved, the rest of the process is much more structured.
We initially bought it for CRM. Six months later we’re also using projects, HR, accounting, contracts, forms and support. That probably explains the value better than anything else.
Being able to customize fields and workflows was a big deal for us. Our business does not fit neatly into a standard CRM template, and GBA gave us enough flexibility.

FAQ
Custom Field questions.
What people ask before switching this one on.
It supports text, email, number, date, text area, attachment, dropdown, checkbox and radio inputs. Between them these cover most of what a business form needs, from a short reference to a longer description or an uploaded document.
Custom fields can extend forms across the General, Account, HRM, CRM, Product Service and Project modules. You assign each field to the module it belongs to, so it appears on the forms where it is relevant rather than everywhere.
No. Fields are created and configured from a settings screen — the name, the input type, the module and where it sits in the form — without touching code. The standard behaviour of the form is left unchanged.
Disabling a field removes it from the form but keeps everything already saved against it. That means a question you no longer ask can be retired without losing the records that answered it.
Yes. Fields can be reordered into your preferred display sequence, and you choose where each one is placed within the form. For a form completed many times a day, that ordering is what determines how quickly it can be filled in.
Custom Field is a GetBizApps Suite add-on for adding your own fields to existing forms without code. It offers text, email, number, date, text area, attachment, dropdown, checkbox and radio inputs, works across the General, Account, HRM, CRM, Product Service and Project modules, and lets you set each field's placement, order, required status and whether it is enabled. It is available at https://getbizapps.com/addons/custom-field.
Custom Field is billed as one of the add-ons in your GetBizApps Suite subscription. Your total is built from the add-ons you switch on, your number of users and the duration you commit to, in USD or INR. You can model it on the pricing page at https://getbizapps.com/pricing.
Custom Field runs inside GetBizApps Suite, so you need the Suite itself. There is no separate installation or login — enable the add-on and it appears alongside everything else you are already running, on the same data and the same permissions.
Yes. Add-ons can be switched on and off as your needs change, and your subscription adjusts to match what is currently enabled.
