Assets
Every asset from the day you buy it to the day you write it off.
Assets tracks what your organisation owns through its whole life — registration with purchase cost, serial code and warranty, assignment to a person with a condition and a return date, scheduled maintenance, and depreciation down to a current book value. The result is one register that answers both the operational question and the financial one.
Inside Assets
What you get when you switch it on.
Asset registration
Register an asset with its purchase cost calculated for you, plus an image so the thing on the screen is recognisably the thing in the room.
Serial codes and warranty
Serial code and warranty period are held on the asset record, so identifying a unit and knowing whether it is still covered are the same lookup.
Location organisation
Organise the register by location, which is what makes a physical count possible and tells you where to go when something is needed.
Assignment and condition
Assign an asset to a person, record the condition it went out in — from excellent to poor — and set an expected return date. An asset already assigned cannot be assigned again.
Return status
Return status is managed automatically against the expected return date, so the register reflects what is genuinely out rather than what was last typed in.
Maintenance scheduling
Schedule preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance, and set a priority from low through to critical so urgent work is not queued behind routine servicing.
Technicians and costs
Assign a technician, monitor the status of the job, and record what the maintenance cost. Total cost of ownership is then a figure rather than an estimate.
Depreciation and book value
Choose a depreciation method, and annual and accumulated depreciation are calculated for you into a real-time book value ready for financial reporting.

Where it earns its place
What teams switch Assets on for.
01
Knowing what you own and where it is
A register organised by location, with images and serial codes, turns an annual stock take from an investigation into a check.
02
Planned maintenance instead of breakdowns
Preventive schedules with priorities and assigned technicians mean servicing happens on a date rather than after a failure.
03
Depreciation for the accounts
Annual and accumulated depreciation are calculated automatically, so book values for financial reporting come out of the same record operations use.

How add-ons work
Assets is not a separate app.
It runs inside GetBizApps Suite, on the same data, behind the same login.
01
Switch it on
Enable the add-on from your workspace. It appears alongside everything else already running — no separate install, no second login.
02
It shares your data
The add-on reads and writes the same customers, staff and records as the rest of the Suite, so nothing has to be re-keyed or synced.
03
Your roles still apply
Existing permissions carry across. Decide which teams see the add-on, and what they are allowed to do inside it.
04
Your price adjusts
It joins your subscription as one more enabled add-on, and comes off again if you turn it back off.

Assets, in their words.
The Assets add-on has made equipment administration much easier. We have a central record of what we own, and Task Management helps us assign equipment-related work with clear responsibility.
Managing laptops, projectors, and shared equipment is easier with GetBizApps. Assets and Asset Borrow & Rent help us keep track of equipment and its borrowing arrangements.

Assets questions.
What people ask before switching this one on.
It tracks an asset across its whole life: registration with purchase cost, serial code, warranty period, image and location; assignment to a person with a recorded condition and expected return date; maintenance; depreciation; and eventual disposal. Because it is one record, the operational history and the financial position of an asset stay attached to each other.
You choose a depreciation method for the asset, and annual and accumulated depreciation are then calculated automatically into a real-time book value. That figure supports financial reporting and compliance without a separate depreciation spreadsheet running alongside the register.
Maintenance can be preventive, corrective or emergency, and each job carries a priority from low to critical. You assign a technician, monitor the status of the work and record its cost, which builds up a maintenance cost history against each asset.
Assets is the underlying register and lifecycle — ownership, condition, maintenance and depreciation. Asset Borrow & Rent is a separate add-on that builds on it to handle lending and renting assets out, with borrowing periods, rental payments and overdue return alerts. If you only need to know what you own and what it is worth, Assets on its own is enough.
No. The add-on prevents an asset that is already assigned from being assigned again, so two people cannot both be recorded as holding it. The assignment clears through the automated return status once the asset comes back.
Assets is a GetBizApps Suite add-on for tracking organisational assets from registration to disposal. It records purchase cost, serial codes, warranty periods, images and location, assigns assets to people with condition and expected return date, schedules preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance with costs and technicians, and calculates annual and accumulated depreciation to give a real-time book value. It is available at https://getbizapps.com/addons/assets.
Assets is billed as one of the add-ons in your GetBizApps Suite subscription. Your total is built from the add-ons you switch on, your number of users and the duration you commit to, in USD or INR. You can model it on the pricing page at https://getbizapps.com/pricing.
Assets runs inside GetBizApps Suite, so you need the Suite itself. There is no separate installation or login — enable the add-on and it appears alongside everything else you are already running, on the same data and the same permissions.
Yes. Add-ons can be switched on and off as your needs change, and your subscription adjusts to match what is currently enabled.
