Document Template
Stop rewriting the same paperwork from a blank page.
Document Template turns the letters, reports and forms you produce repeatedly into reusable starting points. Each template carries a subject, a document type, optional guidance notes and its own unique number, and converts into a working document with its structure and content intact. It builds on the Documents add-on, which is where the resulting documents live.
Inside Document Template
What you get when you switch it on.
Template creation
Build a template with a subject and a document type classification, so the library stays sorted by the kind of paperwork each one produces.
Guidance notes
Add optional notes explaining how a template is meant to be used. Whoever picks it up next knows what to change and what to leave alone.
Privacy control
Set each template public or private, so a draft wording under review is not in general circulation before it is ready.
Unique template numbers
Every template gets its own number for identification and tracking, which is what makes referring to one unambiguous across a team.
Convert to document
Turn a template into a real document with its structure and content preserved, choosing the new document's privacy level as you go.
Selective transfer
Decide which comments and notes travel with the new document. Internal discussion stays behind when it should, and guidance carries over when it helps.
Duplication and preview
Copy a template with control over whether its notes and comments come too, and preview the result before it is converted or shared.
Collaboration on templates
Comments and notes with user attribution and timestamps let a team develop template wording together and see who changed what.

01
Standard client letters
The letter you send fifty times a year exists once as a template, so each new one starts from approved wording rather than a colleague's old copy.
02
Recurring reports
A report structure is set once and converted whenever the next one is due, which keeps the format consistent between authors.
03
Agreeing wording as a team
Comments and notes with attribution and timestamps let several people shape a template before it goes into general use.

How add-ons work
Document Template is not a separate app.
It runs inside GetBizApps Suite, on the same data, behind the same login.
01
Switch it on
Enable the add-on from your workspace. It appears alongside everything else already running — no separate install, no second login.
02
It shares your data
The add-on reads and writes the same customers, staff and records as the rest of the Suite, so nothing has to be re-keyed or synced.
03
Your roles still apply
Existing permissions carry across. Decide which teams see the add-on, and what they are allowed to do inside it.
04
Your price adjusts
It joins your subscription as one more enabled add-on, and comes off again if you turn it back off.

Why teams run on GetBizApps Suite.
These are customers talking about the Suite as a whole rather than the Document Template add-on specifically — every add-on runs on the same platform they are describing.
The proposal-to-invoice workflow has been especially useful for our agency. Once a deal is approved, the rest of the process is much more structured.
We initially bought it for CRM. Six months later we’re also using projects, HR, accounting, contracts, forms and support. That probably explains the value better than anything else.
Being able to customize fields and workflows was a big deal for us. Our business does not fit neatly into a standard CRM template, and GBA gave us enough flexibility.

Document Template questions.
What people ask before switching this one on.
Documents is where your actual business documents live: created, assigned to a user, linked to a project, moved through workflow stages and shared. Document Template is the reusable starting point those documents are generated from. You maintain a template once, then convert it into a document each time you need a new one, which is why Document Template requires the Documents add-on.
You choose. Comments and notes can be transferred selectively during document creation, so internal discussion about the template's wording does not have to follow it into a document that goes to a client. The same selective control applies when you duplicate a template.
Yes. Each template has a privacy level set to public or private, and you also set the privacy level of any new document created from it. A template still being agreed can therefore stay private while approved ones are available to the team.
Templates can be exported in PDF format for distribution, and previewed before conversion or sharing so you can check the output first. Within the platform, unique template numbers make it straightforward to refer to a specific one.
Yes. The Documents add-on must be active, because Document Template converts templates into documents and those documents are managed there. Without it, there is nowhere for a converted template to go.
Document Template is a GetBizApps Suite add-on for building reusable templates for letters, reports and forms. Each template has a subject, a document type, optional guidance notes, a privacy level and a unique template number, and can be previewed, duplicated with selective content copying, exported as PDF, or converted into a document that preserves the template's structure and content. It requires the Documents add-on. It is available at https://getbizapps.com/addons/document-template.
Document Template is billed as one of the add-ons in your GetBizApps Suite subscription. Your total is built from the add-ons you switch on, your number of users and the duration you commit to, in USD or INR. You can model it on the pricing page at https://getbizapps.com/pricing.
Yes. Add-ons can be switched on and off as your needs change, and your subscription adjusts to match what is currently enabled.
