Biometric Attendance
Clock-ins come from the reader on the wall, not a register.
Biometric Attendance connects ZKTeco fingerprint and face recognition devices to your HRM attendance records. Arrival and exit times are read from the device and synced across, where they appear with clock-in and clock-out times, late arrivals, early leaves and overtime. There is no register to type up afterwards, and no buddy punching.

ZKTeco device connection
Connect a ZKTeco machine by entering its API URL, username and password, then generating the authentication token that keeps the link live.
Attendance sync
A sync action pulls recorded punches from the connected device into GetBizApps, so the attendance module reflects what the reader actually captured.
Employee code matching
Each person carries the same employee code on the device and in GetBizApps, which is how a punch is attached to the right record rather than guessed at.
Attendance register
The HRM attendance module shows employee code, name and time for every synced record, in the same place attendance has always been read from.
Clock-in and clock-out times
Arrival and exit are recorded as the times the device registered them, so the day's start and end are not a matter of recollection.
Late arrivals, early leaves and overtime
Synced attendance carries late arrivals, early leaves and overtime alongside the raw times, so exceptions are visible without a separate calculation.
Buddy punching prevention
Because the record comes from a fingerprint or face scan, one person cannot clock in for another, and the manual site register disappears.

ZKTeco machines. The integration is built against the ZKTeco API, so the biometric attendance features are available when you are using a ZKTeco fingerprint or face recognition device. Other manufacturers' devices are not supported.
An administrator enters the ZKTeco API URL, username and password on the add-on's settings page and generates an authentication token. That establishes the connection, after which recorded punches can be synced into the HRM attendance module.
By employee code. Each person must carry the same employee code on the biometric device and on their GetBizApps employee record. The sync matches on that code, which is why codes have to line up in both systems before the first sync.
The employee code, the name and the time, presented in the HRM attendance module with clock-in and clock-out times, late arrivals, early leaves and overtime. Because the times come from the device rather than being keyed in, the errors that come with manual entry do not arise.
